Chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes) feeding on canopy fruit

Chimpanzees are man's closest living relatives, sharing 95-99 percent of our genetic material. Social animals, chimps live in large communtities but generally move in smaller groups. They spend equal times in the forest canopy and on the ground. In some areas, chimps are hunted as a source of meat.
