Silverback Bwindi gorilla
The Mountain Gorilla is one of two subspecies of Eastern Gorillas, though Bwindi's population of mountain gorillas is considered to be a separate sub-species by some experts. Some 700 mountain gorillas are believed to exist in the wild between populations in Congo, Uganda, and Rwanda.
